Day By Day Itinerary Sugguestions

Day 1: Once you exit customs, look for one of our team members, they’ll be holding up a sign with your name on it.  Next, we’ll load up all your luggage and drive you straight to the Belmont Copacabana Hotel, one of Rio’s most historic hotels.  As soon as you walk into the lobby, you’ll be welcomed with an ice cold Caipirinha (Brazil's national cocktail - a delicious mix of cachaça, cane sugar, and lime.) Mmmm - deliciosa!

The Belmont Hotel offers one of the best views in the city. Just Imagine: you’re lounging around the rooftop pool, taking in some sun, breathing in that fresh sea air, sipping on your Caipirinha, and right in front of you is Copacabana Beach, one of the most iconic sites in all world. Inesquecível!

DAY 2-:

On the second day, you’ll be visiting Corcovado Mountain, one of Rio’s most famous destinations. Several packages are on offer for this site: 1) Executive Sunrise Breakfast package, offered exclusively by the Belmont Hotel; 2) The Corcovado Train; 3) Private Minivan.

(For first time visitors or couples, we definitely recommend the train, a much more charming, romantic option.)

Once you reach the peak of the mountain, you’ll be able to witness the breathtaking view of Christ the Redeemer statue, overlooking the entire city of Rio de Janeiro. It’s truly a “God’s-eye view” of the city. It’s simply unforgettable.

After we’ve dropped you back off at the hotel, we recommend trying some of the fresh seafood and sandwiches offered along the beachfront, washing it down with an ice cold Brazilian Acai fruit juice and a delicious Brazilian pastry for dessert. Que gostoso!

At night, we highly recommend the Hotel Cipriani Restaurant at Belmond Copacabana Palace for dinner.

DAY 3-:

Relax, we’ll let you sleep in today. After you wake up and enjoy one of Belmont’s famous Brazilian breakfasts, you’ll be taking a guided tour of Rio, visiting various historical buildings, museums and landmarks. You’ll visit the National Museum, built in 1922, which holds over 287,000 artifacts; the beautiful Municipal Theatre, considered one of the most important in Latin America; the stunning Metropolitan Cathedral, with a breathtaking 250 ft. stained glass mosaic; Os Arcos da Lapa, the aqueducts built in 18th century; and many more magnificent historical monuments and churches in the downtown area.

After lunch, take a visit to the Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car to enjoy the beautiful view. Make sure to stay into the evening to see the sun set from one of Rio’s highest altitudes.

DAY 4-:

Today is dedicated to all those nature lovers out there! You’ll be visiting the world renowned, Shaw Park Botanical Gardens & Waterfalls. The park is filled with hundreds of towering palm trees, rare tropical plants, and hundreds of breathtakingly beautiful an birds and butterflies native to Brazil. For those couples out there, make sure to get the romantic tour package, it’s well worth it!

For lunch we recommend the Bistro inside the Botanical garden where you will  be able to try several delicious fresh juices, lots of healthy food options, delicatessen sandwiches, and the great atmosphere in general.

After exiting the park, make your way down to the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and take a helicopter tour. You’ll have an absolutely amazing view of the city, sugarloaf mountain, the beaches of Rio, Cristo de Redentor statue, and Guanabara bay.

Oh, one more thing: Make sure not to feed the monkeys while at the park!

For a dinner we recommend two world famous Brazilian steakhouses: Fogo de Chao at Botafogo Bay - a 10 minute taxi ride from Copacabana, or Churrascaria Palace, right beside the hotel the Belmont Hotel in Copacabana. The Palace has couple festivals of exotic food throughout the year and it's the highlight of many of our clients trips.
