The Iberostar Grand Amazon Brazil  is the largest cruise ship built specifically to travel on the Amazon River and comes equipped with all facilities needed for comfortable cruising. With 72 (twin and double) comfortable cabins, the vessel also has two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and a fitness centre for recreation, plus amenities such as a laundry service, valet, drugstore, internet access and an on-site paramedic.

The bar on the Sun Deck serves breakfast for sunrise and drinks at sunset with a classical music background. Passengers can also enjoy drinks under the spectacular stars of the dark Amazon night. The two restaurants serve buffet meals with a selection of Brazilian and international dishes, including many delicious Amazon River fish and exotic tropical fruits. The ballroom holds the shows, lectures and has space for dancing to live music, while both local and imported alcoholic and soft drinks are available as part of the all-inclusive deal.

The ship boasts 72 comfortable cabins and two luxurious suites on three different decks. All are equipped with the standard passengers expect of a luxury cruise liner, with air-conditioning, private bathroom, private balcony, television, telephone, hair-dryer and radio in every cabin.

The Manaus region is very tropical and has a warm and humid climate throughout the year with abundant rainfall between November and April. The average temperature at this time is 26°C, although it can reach 36°C. The dry season runs from April through to October and daily temperatures can reach as high as 35°C.

From time to time, however, there are cold fronts that extend from the South Atlantic and drop temperatures as low as 15°C during the day and 13°C at night. It is often thought that the start of the dry season is the best time to visit Manaus as the forests are still flooded.

Not included: airport taxes, fees, security fees and optional tours.
